
Roles and Responsibilities
President

The President is elected by the members at the annual meeting. If there is a vacancy, the position will be assumed by the Vice President.

Call meetings and provide agenda.

Ensure that officers and directors fulfill responsibilities.

Ensure that the club abides by the bylaws.

Coordinate inter-committee activities.

Primary interface to NAMA Regional Director and clubs

Participate in club activities and committees
Vice President
-
The Vice President is elected by the members at the annual meeting.

Become president if there is a vacancy.
-
Assume the role of President in the absence of the president.

Participate in club activities and committees
Treasurer

The Treasurer is elected by the members at the annual meeting
-
Maintain financial status of club by posting income and expenditures on a tool like Quicken.

Maintain bank account

Prepare and file Taxes as required
-
Report financial status at meetings.
-
Maintain Paypal and other portals.
-
Acknowledge Receipt of dues by sending newsletter to payees
-
Maintain paid member list
-
Coordinate membership list with Secretary and Membership Committee.

Secretary
-
The Secretary is elected by the members at the annual meeting

Record the minutes of the meetings
-
Maintain all club documents including minutes, Bylaws, Insurance and correspondence

Lead the preparation of the Annual newsletter and send to membership
-
Send weekly notice of forays to members
-
Club interface to regional Mycroconsortium, and notify members of upcoming Zoom meetings
-
Coordinate membership list with Treasurer and Membership Committee
Board of Directors

The Directors are elected by the officers and Board Members. The Officers are Board Members.

The Directors will chair and staff the committees and participate in club activities.
Foray Committee
-
The Foray committee is responsible for formulating the list of walks for the year, arranging the leader and coordinator and reporting the results.

The Club Mycologist and Toxicologist are key members of this committee to help with identification of Fungi
-
When the resources are available, prepare a Species List
Communications Committee

Responsible for informing members of club activities

Post up coming events and other news on FaceBook
-
Coordinate with Secretary and Treasurer to maintain a list of current and past members and their contact information.

Coordinate with Secretary to send mailings to members
-
Initiate promotional activities to increase membership
Education Committee

The committee shall initiate and promote activities to fulfill our club mission to educate members and the public on fungi and their role in the ecosystem
-
Coordinate with Communication Committee for making announcements and reports
Special Events Committee

The committee shall plan and coordinate annual or ad hoc events including the annual meeting, Fungus Fairs and Regional and National Forays

Coordinate with the Foray, and Communication Committees
